John Oates’ Holiday Wish is Granted with “Santa Be Good To Me”

Memoir Change of Season Planned for 2017

December 20, 2016, Nashville, TN… Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member John Oates is spreading the holiday cheer with “Santa Be Good to Me,” a swing-inspired original song he recorded with Grammy-nominated band The Time Jumpers.

For those making holiday playlists (and checking them twice), “Santa Be Good to Me” is available on Amazon, Google Play, iTunes and Spotify. Autographed limited-edition singles issued on green vinyl, with the B-side “Children Go Where I Send Thee,” are available at his website.

Rolling Stone premiered “Santa Be Good To Me” in November, calling it a “mellow Yuletide tune about the pursuit of holiday romance.” In December, MusicRow’s Robert K. Oermann awarded it Disc of the Day, proclaiming, “This gets major bonus points for coming to us via a green-vinyl 45 r.p.m. single. In August, Hall & Oates received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Looking ahead to 2017, Oates will release his memoir,Change of Seasons, in March on St. Martin’s Press. Written by Oates with award-winning journalist Chris Epting, the book spans John’s modest roots to mega-stardom, in riveting, never-before-told stories from an artist who has shaped the pop-music landscape over the last four decades.

About John Oates

John Oates is one half of the best-selling duo of all time, Hall & Oates, as well as an accomplished solo artist. A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Oates embarked on a long-awaited solo career in 1999. He has since recorded five solo albums and the 2015 DVD docu-concert Another Good Road. Influenced by R&B and folk music while growing up near Philadelphia, he was named a BMI Icon in 2008 and founded the 7908: The Aspen Songwriters Festival in 2010.
