Jamie Kent, InDo Raise $6,751 for Dolly Parton’s My People Fund

NASHVILLE, TN (Dec. 22, 2016) -- A holiday party hosted by InDoRichlyn Marketing and First Note Play with live music from Jamie Kent raised $6,751 for Dolly Parton’s My People Fund, Kent announced today. Bose provided sound and Nantahala Brewing Company provided craft beer for the jam-packed party. The event was held on Dec.15 at InDo and featured performances from Andrew Leahey, Anthony Peebles, Will Thompson, Ross Livermore, and Jenny Tolman. Earlier that day, Kent’s single “All American Mutt” appeared at No. 24 on Rolling Stone’s 25 Best Country Songs of 2016.

“I'm beyond excited to announce that we officially raised $6,751 for the Dollywood Foundation's My People Fund, to help the people of East Tennessee who lost everything in the recent fires. Honored to have played a small part in this alongside my friends at Bose, First Note Play, InDo Nashville, Richlyn Marketing, and all the wonderful people that joined us for this holiday fundraising bash!”

“We are thrilled by the response from our colleagues, friends, and co-sponsors in joining together for this great holiday jam to raise money for Dolly’s My People Fund,” said Kate Richardson of InDo Nashville and Richlyn Marketing.

In November, Kent debuted on the Billboard Country Albums chart at No. 16 with All American Mutt -- the only independent country album in the Top 20. Leading up to the release, he received the prestigious DISCovery Award from MusicRow’s Robert K. Oermann, who described the single as “a rootsy, rollicking, harmonica-punctuated track with a very cool lyric about tolerance and diversity.” Kent also partnered with Nantahala Brewing Co. to create a limited-edition amber ale called All American Mutt Ale. The brewing company provided a selection of their craft brews at the party.
