Highway Wolf Highlights Oregon Wild’s Mission to Protect Wolves and Wildlands
San Francisco, CA, December 2, 2024 — Highway Wolf, led by Mick Hellman and creative partners Tal and Amber Morris, is proud to continue its Spotlight initiative to advocate for wolves. This month, the team is collaborating with Oregon Wild, a nonprofit organization dedicated to safeguarding Oregon’s wildlands, wildlife, and waters. Since 1974, Oregon Wild has been at the forefront of conservation efforts, with a mission to protect Oregon’s unique ecosystems, including its ancient forests, wild rivers, and iconic species.
A key focus of Oregon Wild’s work is their wolf advocacy program, which is dedicated to ensuring the long-term survival of wolves throughout the state. With wolves facing increasing threats due to habitat loss, conflicts with livestock, and outdated management policies, Oregon Wild is committed to advocating for stronger legal protections that secure safe habitats for these vital predators. Through a combination of public education, policy advocacy, and on-the-ground initiatives, Oregon Wild empowers communities to coexist with wolves using non-lethal solutions that reduce conflicts. By fostering partnerships with local ranchers and stakeholders, they are creating a landscape where wolves are not only tolerated but valued as a key part of Oregon’s natural heritage.
Highway Wolf is proud to introduce the "Protect the Pack" t-shirt line as part of its ongoing commitment to spotlighted organizations. Each month, a new t-shirt will be designed to honor and support the featured organization, with 100% of proceeds from each purchase donated directly to that specific sanctuary. To celebrate the launch, Highway Wolf is also adding t-shirts for past spotlighted organizations to their respective blog pages on the website. Supporters can choose a design that resonates with the sanctuary or cause that inspires them most, knowing their purchase makes a direct and meaningful impact.
“Our partnership with Oregon Wild is a testament to our shared vision of a world where wolves have the space and protection they need to thrive,” said Mick Hellman, founder of Highway Wolf. “We’re excited to shine a spotlight on their tireless efforts to protect Oregon’s wild spaces and bring greater awareness to their incredible work.”
