Jesse Lynn Madera Releases New Single “Make It Out” A Hopeful Reflection In This Election Cycle

Nashville, TN — Oct. 16, 2024 — Americana singer/songwriter Jesse Lynn Madera is set to release her next single, “Make It Out,” on Friday, October 25. Produced by Americana/Folk icon Dan Navarro and Grammy-Award-winning producer Jim Scott (Tedeschi Trucks Band and Wilco), this track marks Madera’s first single since the release of her sophomore album, Speed of Sound.

Jesse Lynn Madera's insights into "Make It Out" reveal the profound impact of the current political and social climate on artistic expression. “I wrote the music for ‘Make It Out’ several years ago, but the lyrics did not settle in until our current political and social landscape presented itself.” Madera shares, “I have not really written a political song before, so this was a new adventure, and I felt the blood pumping through this piece.”

Co-written by Madera and Rob McCulloch, the single emerges from a place of hope amid uncertainty, emphasizing the choices we face as individuals. “It’s about where we are right now, not just in our country but all over the world. Humanity is on the precipice,” Madera reflects, “We have reached the end of this road, and we must choose which way we are going to turn.” Madera’s hope for the song is that it encourages people to get out and vote to create historic change in our world.

The track features Madera's unmistakable vocals expressing raw emotion and a deep yearning for a brighter tomorrow. As Madera prepares for this release, she invites listeners to reflect on their roles in shaping the future. “Make It Out” is more than a song; it’s a call to action, encouraging all to strive for a better world together. “The only choice we have, if we want a world worth living in, is to pursue a path of joy, kindness, respect, and hope. I believe we can make it out of this. Our votes matter; our voices matter,” Madera emphasizes.

Jesse Lynn Madera’s new single is available for pre-save now and is set to release on October 25. A lyric video created by Jason Lee Denton is set to premiere shortly after the single release.
