Vampr Announces Bridging Round Alongside Equity Crowdfunding Campaign
Launches with Lead Investment and with Backing by Angels & Entrepreneurs Network
LOS ANGELES, October 15 – Popular social-professional music collaboration app Vampr has today launched an equity crowdfunding campaign encouraging community members to join their mission. Along with the launch, Vampr announces support from the Angels & Entrepreneurs network, founded by New York Times best-selling author Neil Patel. The $577,000 round is being led by Kentucky venture firm RZN8 Capital, while the crowdfunding campaign is hosted on Wefunder and launches with investment from A&E’s David Weisburd, Co-Head of Venture Capital at 10X Capital.
"We are honored to be opening this round with the support of David and the Angels & Entrepreneurs network,” says co-founder and CEO of Vampr, Josh Simons. “Neil [Patel] and David are both highly respected as two of the savviest investors in the world. This endorsement of Vampr is a boon for our company and a co-sign that all stakeholders should be incredibly proud of."
On why he chose to bring Vampr to the Angels & Entrepreneurs community, Weisburd had to say, “Vampr is already the market leader in a large niche during a time where niche social platforms are seeing a renaissance. With first paying customers now under their belt, and a clear vision to move Vampr to a Series A round in late 2021, we have the utmost confidence in the Vampr team to continue building on their past successes to take [the company] to a $100MM+ opportunity.”
This isn’t the first time Vampr has turned to their community for investment, with a campaign launched in late 2019 which resulted in one of the largest public raises of the year ($1 million). Since then, the app went through a full rebuild in 7 months. The result is a 360° one stop shop for artists, with the addition of Vampr Publishing and Vampr Pro with Distribution, complimenting their core social network with essential tools and resources for creatives.
“Heading into our first crowdfunding round Baz [Palmer] and I had no idea what to expect, but it ended up being a runaway success - we couldn’t have been any happier!” says Simons. “When users become investors, they also become lifelong brand ambassadors and in our case there’s 1,150 of them spread across 50 countries. With this level of participation, there’s obviously value well beyond money, so the idea of doing it all over again with this smaller bridging round gets us very excited."
With a current valuation of $9,600,000, Vampr is the number one most active and engaged social-professional network for musicians in every country thanks to an easy to use platform which has solved the problem of “who you know and where you live.” Vampr projects continued growth to cement itself as the top essential networking platform for creatives, already dubbed by Forbes as the “LinkedIn for all creatives.”

About Vampr
Launched in 2016, Vampr is a location-based social and professional mobile platform that facilitates music discovery, networking, and communication between musicians, music industry professionals, and music fans. Founded by Australia’s The Music Network’s 30 Under 30 Power Player, Josh Simons, and multi-award-winning songwriter/guitarist and tech entrepreneur, Baz Palmer, the award-winning app is home to over 600,000 users and is active in every country. Vampr has helped fledgling musicians broker over six million connections worldwide.
With the launch of Vampr Publishing and Vampr Pro earlier this year, the company now represents over 5,000 songs for sync opportunities and provides artists with all their essential services, normally fragmented across multiple providers. Vampr has been recognized in over 10 awards from various industry leaders including being named in Apple’s Best of Year and winning the SF MusicTech Summit. The company has raised 2 million dollars over three previous funding rounds, with additional investments from advisory board members Matt Adell (former Beatport CEO) and Nick Feldman (founding member of the band Wang Chung, and later a Warner Music exec).
