Stella Prince Releases New Folk Single “Crying On a Saturday Night”

- 17-Year Old Prodigy Has Goal to Bring Folk Music to Her Generation -

Nashville, TN (Friday, March 18 2022)…Folk singer/songwriter Stella Prince is in Nashville to celebrate the release of her new single, “Crying on a Saturday Night” on March 18th. The song, solely written by the teen, is being promoted to Americana radio by legendary Folk promoter, Art Menius. In its first week Prince has hit the most added song on the North American College & Community radio chart. The single is also available on all streaming platforms.

Prince wrote the song to use the healing power of music to soothe those who are lonely. “The reason I wrote this song is because I know there are millions of people out there that feel the exact same way as me, especially during these difficult times,” she says of her own bouts of loneliness. “I just thought there should be a song for us that we can all relate to.”

A cross section of Alison Krauss, Joni Mitchell, and a sound all her own, Stella sings wise beyond her years with unique instrumentation to back her up. Her guitar skills shine through, driving the track along with a crooning fiddle and traditional layered vocals in the background. Honest lyrics showcase her seasoned writing talent and ability to craft a timeless song ripe for the Folk/Americana genre.

While in Music City, the singer-songwriter, based in upstate New York, will be shooting a video, playing several shows and having a CD release party at Cabana Taps on Friday night at 6pm.

About Stella Prince:
Examples of Stella’s exceptionalism abound, but one need look no further than the fact that at age seventeen she has already graduated from high school and completed two years of college. She started voice lessons at age four, piano at six and then mastered guitar at age nine. Stella even developed her own signature fingerpicking technique by the time she was thirteen. She started performing when she was five and has not slowed down since playing venues big and small, including Nashville’s famed Bluebird Cafe.

Stella lives in upstate New York with her parents and will be embarking on a European tour later this Spring.
