Hohner Harmonica Hosts Nashville Premiere of Freedom’s Path
(From Left to Right, Jesse Hanks, Jimmy Zednik, Brandon Bailey, Frank Blake)
February 9, 2023, NASHVILLE, TN…KHS America and Hohner Harmonica hosted the Nashville premiere of Freedom’s Path at the Regal Hollywood movie theater this past weekend. Freedom’s Path is a new Civil War film that tells the story of a soldier who deserts from battle, and soon discovers the true cost of war through a young heroic black man, who teaches him the real meaning of Freedom. Throughout the film, the harmonica plays an important role in strengthening the bond between the film’s main characters.
Following the screening, audience members heard from special guests Brandon Bailey, who performed all of the harmonica parts for the film’s soundtrack, and Frank Blake, Stunt Coordinator for the movie. Hohner also provided audience members with their very own harmonicas. Hohner’s Artist Relations Manager Jesse Hanks, and Brand Manager Jimmy Zednik were in attendance as well. Jimmy, who spoke at the screening says, “Hohner was thrilled to be involved in the Nashville screening of Freedom’s Path. We were lucky to have Brandon and Frank there to offer their unique and fascinating perspectives on the production of the film too.”
Freedom’s Path is currently showing in over 200 theaters nationwide.

ABOUT FREEDOM’S PATH
Freedom's Path marks the first narrative film to be centered on free African Americans living in the south during the Civil War. It is also the first indie film to be released with a portion of all ticket sales being donated to serve underfunded Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Freedom’s Path has partnered with Byron Allen’s HBCU GO to engage the HBCU community. Often people don’t realize that there were over 250,000 free African Americans living in the south leading up to the Civil War. This is a story centered around them, their lives and their struggles. There is not a single slave depicted in this film. Every individual who appears on screen has either secured their own freedom, run away from the confines of slavery, or is in the process of running away.
