Come Out to California's Smallest County for an Intimate Music Festival Experience

June 16th-18th | Markleeville, CA

Woollystar is an intimate weekend of live music, film, and camping held at Woollystar Ranch in California's smallest County, Markleeville. This year's festival will take place from Friday, June 16th through Sunday, June 18th. The lineup includes an impressive range of artists from The Brothers Comatose, Los Cenzontles, Margo Cilker, and of course, the festival's own hosts, ISMAY.. Over the course of three days festival attendees will enjoy numerous live performances, a film screening of SPACE HAPPY: Phil Thomas Katt and the Uncharted Zone an open mic and a nature walk. 

Woollystar Ranch is nestled in the picturesque hills south of Lake Tahoe, on the boarder of California and Nevada. To get the full address, festival attendees must purchase a ticket. ABOUT ISMAY

ISMAY is a Folk/Americana music project driven by California-based singer/songwriter Avery Hellman. Their debut album Songs Of Sonoma Mountain was released in 2020 and named one of the 10 best Albums in the Bay Area, garnering features in American Songwriter, No Depression, Sonoma Magazine and more. Growing up backstage at their grandfather’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, ISMAY was inspired early on by artists such as Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch and Hazel Dickens. ISMAY’ performance highlights include festivals such as SF Jazz Festival Americana Week, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Strawberry Music Festival, The National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, The Lantern Tour, The Great American Music Hall, Slim’s, the Golden State Theater, and the Mystic Theater.  Acclaimed artists they have opened for include Steve Earle, Watchhouse, Justin Townes Earle, Robert Earl Keen, John Doe and Chuck Prophet. ISMAY is featured as one of a select group of artists from around the world participating in the Apple TV+ Show My Kind of Country, produced by Kacey Musgraves and Reese Witherspoon.
