The Work Institute expands, adds new division on heels of strong growth

Company names Danny Nelms to president

October 29, 2014,Brentwood, TN…. The Work Institute, a leading provider of workforce research solutions based in Brentwood, Tennessee, today announced the addition of a new consulting solutions division. The news comes after a period of sustained sales growth of 50% over the last two years.

As part of the organization's continued growth, The Work Institute will expand its services to include consulting services through an independent division of the company. This newly created division, called TWI Consulting Solutions, is expected to begin services in the fourth quarter of 2014 and will fill a void in the market for evidence-based consulting solutions. The addition of the division has come in response to meeting customer need and will focus on coaching, leadership development, and often, management and organizational intervention.

"We are very pleased to make this announcement," said Dr. Thomas F. Mahan, Founder and Chairman of The Work Institute. The company will now have two autonomous divisions, each with an objective of providing evidence-based research and consulting respectively. As part of the new growth plan, the company has named Danny Nelms, previously Managing Director, to the role of President at The Work Institute.

"Danny has done an exceptional job leading the Company over the last four years and I am excited about the next chapter in the growth of The Work Institute," explains Mahan. In this expanded role, Nelms will lead global operations, strategic partnerships, and execute the company's growth strategy.

"The new TWI Consulting Solutions division is going to be a tremendous opportunity. We will continue to offer our workforce research solutions, including exit interviews, stay interviews and engagement studies, within a separate division, TWI Research Solutions, to maintain the un-biased research approach our clients value.  This expansion, along with other complementary offerings, will continue to fuel our growth.  " explains Nelms. In addition to the new consulting division, The Work Institute will continue to broaden its footprint by developing strategic partnerships like the recently announced relationship with Brentwood-based Business and Legal Resources (BLR).

Through their research and consulting solutions along with their strategic partnerships, The Work Institute will provide tools and expertise to help companies better manage their talent, human capital metrics and human capital financials. "The new initiatives, as well as our trusted research services, will allow us to work even more closely with organizations as they take the next steps in their talent management journey." says Nelms.
