ABOUT TERRY MCBRIDE
Tried & true Texan, Music City hitmaker, frontman, and multi-instrumentalist are just a few of the monikers Terry McBride has worn in his decades-long chart-topping career. A Lampasas, TX native, McBride spent his teenage summers on the road with his dad, the late Dale McBride, who was a recording artist with several Billboard charted singles, before gritting his teeth in the Austin scene and becoming one of the most sought-after bass players in the city. In 1989, Terry traveled to Nashville and met MCA President Tony Brown, who would later go on to sign Terry to a recording contract with the label. Terry's group, McBride & The Ride, recorded four albums for MCA, racking up several top five singles over the next few years, including "Sacred Ground" a #1 Single in 1992, and CMA and ACM Nominations for Vocal Group of the Year. When Terry turned his focus towards songwriting for other artists he landed cuts with artists such as Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Hank Williams Jr., Ronnie Dunn, Kix Brooks, Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Easton Corbin, Kenny Rogers, Jon Pardi, Cody Johnson, and Cole Swindell. Terry has had over 25 songs recorded by Brooks & Dunn, which led to 13 singles and 12 BMI million airplay awards. He continues to immerse himself in the Nashville writing scene and continues to tour as a solo artist along with the recently reunited, McBride & The Ride, who are releasing new music for the first time in nearly two decades.
