Prayers Answered: Shane Smith & The Saints Announce New Album, Hail Mary
Project Unveiled to Fans Through a Series of Chapter Releases
May 28, 2019, Austin, TX… Shane Smith & the Saints announce the release of their upcoming album, Hail Mary for June 28, the band’s first full project since 2015. Produced by Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers), the much-anticipated project will be unveiled to listeners through a series of chapter releases leading up to the full album at the end of June.
When asked about the unique roll-out of the release, frontman and principal writer, Shane Smith, said, “I felt like our fans had waited long enough, and I’d rather them not wait till the end of June,” he laughed, “But if I’m being completely honest, the songs on the album go with an overarching theme. It talks about the band’s early days, the hardships and mistakes, learning from it all and where to go from there. It cuts deep in a lot of ways and it made sense to theme each set of songs with a chapter title.”
Shane Smith is on to something about giving the fans what they want. Chapter 1: The Beginning, available now on all streaming outlets, contains a trio of singles to kick off the series of releases. “Heaven Knows”, “Whirlwind”, and “Oklahoma City” were met with the anticipated fan excitement, collectively garnering over 100,000 streams on Spotify in the first weekend.
Chapter 1: The Beginning // May 17
Chapter 2: The Fall // May 31
Chapter 3: The Path // June 14
Chapter 4: The End // June 28
Needham exclaimed about the album, “I love this band, and Shane’s voice is incredible! The big harmony parts are what put it over the top. Buy this record!” Hail Mary is available for advance order at ShaneSmithMusic.com.

More on Shane Smith & The Saints:
From their home base in Austin through performances across the country and abroad, Shane
Smith & the Saints have not just stuck stubbornly to their musical and lyrical convictions.
They’ve defied audience expectations by delivering incendiary shows, each one ignited by the
band’s ability to unleash, feed on and send back the energy of the crowd.
“Take the Americana- and folk-esque instrumentation of a band such as the Avett Brothers and the harmonies of the Zac Brown Band, put them together with a Bruce Springsteen-like voice and the lyrical sensibilities of Bob Dylan, and then throw in a bit of Celtic rock a la the Dropkick Murphys, and you'll wind up with something along the lines of Shane Smith & the Saints.” - The Boot
