June 19, 2019, Nashville, TN... Nashville singer songwriter Haley Stevens shared details about her heartbreaking relationship with Bachelorette front-runner, Jed, in an exclusive interview with People today. Wanting to convey a message of empowerment and inspiration for other women, Stevens felt she had to come forward after journalists contacted her threatening to leak the relationship. It was important for Stevens to tell her story describing how she channeled her sadness into writing and recording new music for her duo Sweet Leah.

The feature traces the timeline of the couples serious relationship leading-up to the day Jed left to participate in the series. As the series progressed and Jed rose in the competition, Haley was devastated, but would not be destroyed. “If I’ve learned anything through this whole situation it’s that I am stronger than I could have ever imagined. I have been able to channel every ounce of this heartbreak into our music. Julia Kate, my duo partner in Sweet Leah, has had my back the entire time and I have an incredible support system in my friends and family,” adds Stevens.
