Onoleigh Releases Powerful Music Video for Single "Make It Hurt"
-- Written by Maren Morris, Rhett Akins, and Chis DeStefano --
Nashville, TN - October 15, 2021… Rising artist Onoleigh continues to make waves in the country music scene with today’s release of the music video for her recent single, “Make It Hurt,” written by Maren Morris, Rhett Akins, and Chris DeStefano. With stunning drone footage of the Nashville skyline and Onoleigh’s dazzling outfits, the music video, which premiered yesterday with The Boot, emits strength in pure form. Though Onoleigh does not want to move on from her relationship, she is unwilling to settle for anything less than she deserves; the bold proclamation is heartbreaking, but necessary.
“The music video for ‘Make It Hurt’ turned out to be exactly what I envisioned!” Onoleigh shared with The Boot. “My mind immediately went to an industrial look in the middle of the Nashville skyline with some dramatic outfits and camera shots. My team absolutely brought this song to life and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!”
“Make It Hurt,” produced by Brandon Hood (Sam Hunt, Rascal Flatts, Jimmie Allen), premiered with Taste of Country in August, with the accompanying lyric video premiering with Medium on Wednesday, October 13. Onoleigh is currently in the studio finishing her debut EP, which will feature "Make It Hurt" and is set to release in 2022.
