John Oates Special Performance, Interview & Book Signing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
2014 Inductee will sign copies of his new memoir Change of Seasons

CLEVELAND (May 5, 2017) –Join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for a special afternoon with 2014 Inductee John Oates on Sunday, May 21. Oates will chat with fans, perform a short acoustic set, and sign copies of his new book, Change of Seasons.
In a candid interview at 1:00 p.m. in Foster Theater, Oates will reveal surprising stories from his musical partnership with Daryl Hall (“She’s Gone,” “Private Eyes,” “Rich Girl”), his solo career, and dive into other stories from his memoir, Change of Seasons.
Oates will also discuss his 2014 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and how his sound was shaped by the early days of rock and roll, traditional American folk and blues, and the soul sounds of the Philadelphia streets. Dr. Jason Hanley, Vice President of Education and Visitor Engagement for the Rock Hall, will lead the discussion.
After the interview, Oates will perform a short acoustic set, playing some of his favorite tunes for fans in the intimate theater. Concluding the day, fans will get a chance to meet Oates during a book signing of his memoir, Change of Seasons, at 3 p.m. in the FYE store inside the Rock Hall.
Advance tickets are required for the 1:00 p.m. live interview and performance in Foster Theater. Tickets are $10 and on sale to Rock Hall members at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, and to the public onThursday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at ticketing.rockhall.com. The book signing at 3 p.m. is free with the purchase of Oates’ book from the FYE store. Books are available while supplies last.

About John Oates: John Oates is one half of the best-selling duo of all time, Daryl Hall & John Oates, as well as an accomplished solo artist. In Change of Seasons, Oates candidly shares his life story, including his lifelong passion for music, his childhood years in New York City and, later, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the development of his friendship and musical partnership with Daryl Hall, and his experiences as part of one of the most successful duos in pop music history.
The memoir is based on the handwritten journals that Oates has been keeping since the day he graduated college in 1970.
