Nashville, TN (February 7, 2020) - One half of the best-selling duo of all time, Hall & Oates, as well as an accomplished solo artist, John Oates is the latest guest on The Production Spotlight, a new podcast from Nashville-based production company, Morris Light & Sound. Host David Haskell and Oates discuss how Hall And Oates utilized innovative live production methods, the early beginnings of MTV, career advice, and more.

About John Oates: 

John Oates is one half of the best-selling duo of all time, Hall & Oates, as well as an accomplished solo artist. A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Oates has recorded six solo albums and the 2015 DVD docu-concert Another Good Road. Influenced by R&B and folk music while growing up near Philadelphia, Oates was honored as a BMI Icon in 2008. In 2016, Hall & Oates received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition to his solo shows, Oates continues to tour with Daryl Hall, playing sold-out concerts around the world. St. Martin’s Press released the paperback of Oates' memoir, Change of Seasons, in May 2018. Oates resides in Nashville.

About David Haskell: 

David has over 35+ years of touring experience and has served as a tour manager, production manager, front-of-house engineer and producer for some of the biggest names in the industry with acts like Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Sugarland, Keb Mo, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich and Jim Nabors. David has overseen production for many annual internationally recognized events including the CMA Music Festival, support for the CMA Music Awards and associated red carpet events. David currently serves on the Board of Directors for CMA, TJ Martell Foundation and The Parnelli Awards.
