Grace Pettis Releases Empowering Track “Never Get It Back” with ‘Cosmic and Cool’ Vocals from The Watson Twins
-- The second track off Grace’s upcoming album ‘Working Woman’ delivers encouragement for women to seize every moment --
Following the announcement of her upcoming album Working Woman and the title track release,
Grace Pettis has dropped her second much-anticipated track, "Never Get It Back," featuring guest artists The Watson Twins. The song highlights Pettis' lyrical artistry and signature, soulful delivery, and offers not-so-subtle feminist undertones encouraging women to "make and break the rules." "Never Get It Back" premiered exclusively on The Boot and is available on all streaming platforms today.
"I co-wrote this song with two good friends, Hane Skot and Nicole Dean," Grace shared with The Boot. "Somebody's always going to be there to tell women to leave the glass ceiling intact. There's always going to be somebody that tells you that this is not your moment, but every moment that you're alive belongs to you."
Working Woman, produced by singer/songwriter Mary Bragg and featuring powerful collaborations with the Indigo Girls, Ruthie Foster, Dar Williams, Mary Bragg, and Gina Chavez, is Pettis' debut full album release with MPress Records and will be out on May 7. The record is available for pre-order on CD and vinyl here.
