Frank Ray was hand-selected by platinum-selling singer-songwriter Jake Owen to be part of #TeamJake on the USA Network series. Ray wrote all the songs on his debut EP, Different Kind of Country, which has spawned two top-ten hits on Texas Country Radio. Earlier this summer, while his single "Drive" jumped to No. 1 on the Texas Country Regional Chart, his music video for single, "Tequila Mockingbird," was named one of the 10 Best Country Songs of the Week by Rolling Stone. The single has since reached over 280,000 streams on Spotify and is rising Billboard Country Radio chart. Winning Monday night’s episode, Ray receives $10,000 and will perform at Stagecoach Festival in California. He will also head to the grand finale where he will compete for a chance to win $100,000 and a highly coveted performance at Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry.
