NASHVILLE, TN (May 10, 2021)...West Virginia country singer Chase Likens releases the first single, “Rub A Little Dirt On It”, from his upcoming project produced by renowned Platinum-selling producer/engineer, Kevin Beamish. The uptempo single is available now across all digital platforms and will impact country radio on June 7th, formally introducing the world to Nashville’s next star. A top 12 finalist on Season 11 of American Idol, one of Likens memorable powerhouse performances prompted judge Steven Tyler to cry. Since then he has taken a measured approach to his career, earning a degree in music and theatre at Marshall University, all the while honing his craft before linking up with mega-producer Kevin Beamish, whose previous credits include icons such as Reba, Kenny Chesney, and REO Speedwagon.
“Rub A Little Dirt On It” is undeniably ready for radio. Likens believes this upbeat, attitude-filled single will let him come straight out of the gate swinging. “This song allows me to stay true to my traditional country roots while giving me the perfect vehicle to show off my melodic range that fans seem to love. This song is so authentically me - I grew up in the mountains of West Virginia riding horses, picking blackberries, and riding dirt bikes so I kind of love that my first single has Dirt in the title!”
The song, written by hit songwriters Roger Springer, Carson Chamberlain, and Wade Kirby, is the perfect uptempo to escort country listeners from Spring right into Summer. ABOUT CHASE LIKENS
Like many artists, Chase Likens had a brush with fame when he went Top 12 on American Idol. Unlike most, this West Virginia native chose the path of college after the show. Chase attended Marshall University where he studied music and theatre. The singer/songwriter has now brought his impressive range and unique country meshed with R&B vocal to Nashville.
