Bri Bagwell Releases “Josefina” The Second Single From Her Upcoming Album Corazón y Cabeza
NASHVILLE, TN (July 15, 2022) – Texas Country artist, Bri Bagwell releases “Josefina” on all digital platforms today. The gripping tale is the second single from Bagwell’s upcoming album Corazón y Cabeza, (Heart and Head) out August 26. Preview the single here.
“The song is about an abusive man who is unsuspecting of a female stranger liberating his beautiful Josefina.” shares Bagwell. Co-written with Paul Eason, the song cries "poor mi amor Josifina," but the last chorus ends with "pour him some more Josefina" showing the flip between Spanish and English, and validating the method by which the singer helps Josefina to escape.
“The guitar extraordinaire Ramón Stagnaro could not have done a more amazing job on this track; it makes me want to dance and/or ride a horse at full speed into the desert sunset,” adds Bri.
The single is inspired by the owners of Rosa's Cantina in El Paso, who offered a helping hand to Bri when her tour van broke down multiple times. Bri promised to put Rosa's in a song someday for all of their generosity. Rosa’s became the perfect setting for her cinematic tale.
Bri Bagwell is currently on tour and is available for interviews.
