Bri Bagwell Releases "Free Man" as Debut Single From Her Upcoming Album Corazón y Cabeza
- Fun, Rockin' Track Inspired by Bagwell’s Own Jury Duty Experience -
NASHVILLE, TN (June 28, 2022) – Reigning Female Texas Country Artist of the Year, Bri Bagwell, announces the release of “Free Man,” the debut single from her upcoming album Corazón y Cabeza, (Heart and Head). This courtroom parody details an inner desire for a fair trial at the end of a toxic relationship. Inspired by her recent real-life jury duty experience, in "Free Man" Bagwell wishes for a judge and jury to properly punish an ex-romantic partner that has walked away in this rockin’ courtroom drama tune. Listen to the single here.
“I got selected for jury duty earlier this year. As we deliberated the verdict I daydreamed, ‘what if I could put an ex-boyfriend through this process with a judge, jury and sentence?’” she recalls, “I could finally present my case about all of his wrongdoings!”
Bagwell goes on to theorize that most people have been in a relationship where their partner seemingly "gets away with murder" and serves no penalty for it. Maybe there is no justice because unfortunately, as said in "Free Man", some rules of the Bible ain’t against the law.
“Free Man” hit Texas radio and all streaming platforms on June 24th. Corazón y Cabeza will be released on August 26th. Bri Bagwell is currently on tour and is available for interviews.
